I've always been a huge fan of cooking games like cooking mama and papa's pizzeria so I wanted to try my hand at making one. Eat a Peanut Butter and Jelly is my first attempt at making one of those games, originally it was just going to be a test and nothing else but then I got inspired by Eat Spajeje and Rock Smasher to make a food cooking, food eating, speed game. The game was originally going to let you customize your sandwich with different jellys, bread, peanut butters, meats, greens, and cheeses.
(Unused sandwich pieces)
There was also going to be different sandwich making modes such as making a turkey sandwich, it ended up not being added but maybe in a later update I'll add it.
(Screenshot from the turkey sandwich game mode)
End of January it snowed a little bit (luckily my power didn't go out and my water didn't freeze).
(Pic of snow)
Unfortunately I got horribly sick and had awful allergies as well. I got busy as well which led to me missing out on Pixel Day (my game also got slightly too ambitious so i probably wouldn't have been able to finish it regardless).
Next Game: Next month will officially be my 5th year on Newgrounds and my next game will be slightly related to that, it'll be a small game full of things that I luv
Pixel Day: Last second decided to try and drop a game for Pixel Day this year but completely missed it, I'm gonna continue to work on it but it won't be as much a priority as some of my other projects.
(Early screenshot of the game)
Low Poly Day: Working on a small little project for low poly day, practicing as much 3d modeling as much as I can for this game and I hope to share more about it soon
Newgrounds Day: I'm gonna start working more on this game, I've got so much art to do for this game and ALOT more programming to do but I'm really happy how it's turning out
Other: I've been slowly chipping away at a shit ton of other little games and I'm hoping to get them all out this year, I hope to collab with some artists and musicians on some of these projects
I'll post another update next month and as always, I post all of my game dev screenshots and videos over on Instagram, Twitter, and Bluesky. During the time between the previous update and this one I have officially started posting to YouTube, Tumblr, and DeviantArt so go follow me there as well :)

Pablo Post-It's Journey Home released about a week ago AND it got frontpaged and got Daily 3rd (currently the highest Daily for a Mellow Minds game) as a token of my appreciation I'd like to share some behind the scenesΒ
(Screenshot from an unused Marker item, it would roll between 2 points. Game kept crashing so I decided to use the portals instead)
(Screenshot from the first prototype of the game)
I'll share a little more about the development of the game in my end of the year recap post but that's a long time away.
Its only been a few weeks since the beginning of the new year so I can't comment on much, Texas got really cold where I'm at (no snow here as of writing this) and I'm sure it's only a matter of time before my power goes out. Despite that, I've spent alot of time with my close friends and worked on games and art. Hopefully, there'll be more to share next month.
I can't make any promises that all of these game will release, if I tried I'd most likely be wrong but I'd still like to share some future stuff :)
Next Game: My next game is gonna be a small arcade-y speed game, you make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in either a score mode or a timed mode. I'd like to drop it sometime around early-mid February so look forward to that.
(Screenshot of a really early prototype, the newest version has a lot of finished art)
Pixel Day: Last month I said we were working on a Pixel Day game but I dropped Pablo Post-It's this month so we'll probably save that for next year.
Newgrounds Day: Game for Newgrounds Day, I'm working on a small arcade-like game for Newgrounds Day
(One of the backgrounds that will be used in my Newgrounds Day game)
Low Poly Day: Low Poly day, we started a little bit of planning on this little low poly day game. I'm still practicing with low poly art
Other: I've got a bunch of other little games that I plan to drop throughout the year, hopefully you enjoy them when they release
I'll post another update post sometime around Mid-February. I post dev posts on my Instagram, Twitter, and Bluesky so if you're into that go check me out!!!

After 2 years Tomato Clicker finally got a 3rd update, I added a hard mode and scoreboards, and I fixed the medals in the game!!! I'd held it off for a long time but I finally decided to sit down and finish it.
In other news I updated Simon's Food and Such Drive-Through to add medals and a scoreboard, i was initially going to add them when the game was released but I hadn't figured out how to at the time.
Go Play Simon's Food and Such Drive-Through
I post game development screenshots, videos, and updates over on Twitter, Instagram, and Bluesky so if you're interested in that go follow me on those platforms

Mellow Minds released 4 games in 2024!
Mighty Tanker Power Wankers, this was meant to be our Pixel Day 2023 submission BUT we had bitten off more than we could chew and in fact, I wasn't really proud of how the game turned out initially. That was until Novemeber 26th 2024, Octopus9000 did a shit ton of work on the game to make it WAY better than release and I can't thank him enough for doing that. The game nowadays is something I look back on fondly and have learned from.
(Originally the tanks we gonna be army tanks, we decided to go the power rangers inspired direction)
Jawbreaker, this was initially an April Fools Day came because I thought the idea was ridiculous and no one would have any fun playing it, but we decided to make it and drop it in March.
(First design of Gnaw and the Jawbreaker logo)
(The first mention of the idea of Jawbreaker)
Simon's Food and Such Drive-Through, I had come up with this idea a while ago but it wasn't until recently that I decided to reopen gamemaker and start working on games again. I had alot of fun making this one and I'm pretty proud of some of the art in the game. I tried to add a scoreboard and medals to the game but I'm still relatively new to gamemaker.
(Screenshot of the first prototype of the game)
Christmas Tree Dress-Up, I had decided to work on a small christmas game because I had recently learned how to click and drag objects for a different game (news about that later) and I've always loved dress up games. I played alot of them when I was younger and I've had a ton of ideas for several different dress up games. Originally, I wanted to add actual clothes to the game such as shirts and hats but decided against it.
(Screenshot from the first prototype of the game)
(Origin of the idea + a mockup of the game)
Last year I tried to predict what we would release but I was WAY off, i am only going to share news about games i do know will release next year. I can't guarantee when some of these games will release
Pixel Day 2025, we're making a small Pixel Day game. It'll be classic arcade fun, hope you enjoy it :)
(Teaser for Pixel Day 2025 game)
Pea Game, hoping to drop this pea game this year. Did a shit ton of art for the game and I hope you guys love it.
(Teaser for the Pea Game)
Sticky Notes Game, I'm working on a platformer where you can drag sticky notes to use as platforms. I've got a couple more levels to design and some other shit but then it'll be done.Β
(Teaser for the Sticky Notes Game)
I post updates and screenshots of games I'm working on for Twitter, Bluesky, and Instagram so if you're interested in seeing what I'm doing follow me on any of those platforms :)

Confetti Man released a few weeks ago, if you haven't read it yet read it here, I was very excited that I had finally gotten it finished and I would like to talk about future issues and share some concept art
There are going to be ALOT more Confetti Man issues in the future, I am going to try to finish a bunch to the point I can release issues around a weekly/monthly schedule. You'll get to meet a whole lot of new iconic characters that you can fall in love with.
Here's some cool concept art from the conception of Confetti Man to the release of issue #1 ENJOY!!!
(First drawings of Confetti Man, as you can see his design and colors have remained unchanged since the beginning)
(First drawings of the Hairless Hypnotist, he was originally going to burn the building down by reflecting the light from his bald head at it)
